Nothing better than lying on the bed resting and hearing my wife and son rave away happily on some topic in another language, while the other child is making the piano come alive with classical music. The kids are both around 30 now, so moments like this are rare and need to be treasured.
I've never understood people who travel to the country, into a quiet place, and bring their noise -- stereos, dirt bikes and other traveling toys, even their voices, in a constant shout.
They appear to be afraid of silence.
