Just because the NZ Prime Minister was too chickenshit to put retaliatory tariff's on the USA, it doesn't mean that the NZ people can't do what the Canadian's have done and stop buying stuff from USA companies, and also support local companies at the same time.
The Buy Canadian sub-Reddit is a great source on how to do it:

I went to a #repairCafe today and got my ebike charger fixed for at least another 4 years of daily usage (I hope). 🚲 ⚡
Repairing things is good for the earth, for our pockets and for society in general.
The NZ Parliament is looking at a bill about this. 🔧
Please make a submission so repairing becomes the standard and we keep things out of the landfill for as long as possible.
Deadline is April 3rd.

Just made my submission to phase 2 of the Royal Commission Inquiry into the Covid-19 Response in NZ.
Please remember to participate in it, as the cookers certainly will, and the results will shape the country's preparedness for the next pandemic.
Submissions close in April 27.

Shane Jones wants to make changes to the Fisheries Act. 🎣
They are great for the fishing industry, but not good for those of us who want healthy oceans. 🌊
One of the lowlights is removing access to footage from Cameras on Boats, reducing transparency and accountability of the commercial fishing fleet. 🐬
Submissions are open until April 11, and we want you to have a say! 🐙
So we made a handy tool to build a submission in no time!
