Happy Fish Friday!

🧵 If even one cell of your hooman brain cells is giving eye roll ugh not ai bs then it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Nudibranchs. Jacques Cousteau never found any day-glo jello animals or marine porcupines covered in candy corn but the Calypso crew swam past the little buggers by the thousands most are so small. Enjoy a short Nudibranch film

several colorful Nudibranch some are barely the size of a pistachio though some do get quite a bit larger. contradictory information puts them as Mollusks since their larval state has a shell or in the Sea Slug family which is more to what they look like. However an octopus is a mollusk even though its only remaining shell is its 'beak' for eating the rest being so squishy they can fit through any hole their mouth can squeeze into. Science is annoying that way makes a rule then breaks it in the same moment just to screw with you trying to write a paper.
