Being an absolute fan of the original 1995 movie, as well as the SAC series, this was a hard watch. There are a few stand-out action sequences, and the visual design and CGI is very good, but as an overall movie, it's not great.

I was really looking forward to this, and the actual movie was a letdown. A promising concept, great actors, but ultimately the movie was let down by a messy script, unclear direction and a confusing tone which was neither fish nor fowl.
