You are waiting for the shoe to drop, but the ending was more impactful that way.Both Sophie trying to make sense of these recordings on her birthday at the end as well as Calum spitting toothpaste on the mirror after Sophie told him of the heaviness she feels made me think of that Succession quote, "maybe the poison drips through". What a confused mix of feelings it is to reflect on the struggles passed down to you from your parents. What a horrible feeling it must be to (believe to) pass down your struggles to your child.Gorgeous and ingenious filmmaking. The oner with the tv getting turned off where we see Calum's self-help books? Will think about that one for a long time.

Rated Back to the Future 10/10

If there is such a thing as a perfect movie, "Back to the Future" is it. The theme tune alone is instant chills. I remember watching this in the cinema, and the ending was my first experience of the concept of a cliffhanger. Living in Norway, the movie was already a few years behind the US, and we had to wait three years until BTTF2 came out. I was first in line for it on its premiere.
