Tonight on Monsterdon we're watching The Asphyx (1972). I've watched the trailer, and all I can really tell is that this movie thinks that it is Very Scary, and it is probably Not That At All.

Okay, it's time . All I can say looking at these numbers is that you all have surpassed expectations so far it's hard to believe! I'm not gonna' lie, I cried a couple times reading these numbers.
Last year the total was about $2600.00.
This year... The grand total with the donation match from @paco @steggy and others, is so far over that it's hard to believe.
#MonsterdonSavesChristmas brought in a mind blowing $12,321.26 for charity this year!

If you don't want to see a bunch of snarky posts about a bad movie, you can mute the hashtag. In the Mastodon web UI, you do this by clicking on the hashtag, selecting the option to mute it, and making a new filter to hide all posts with the hashtag. You'll make the Baby Godzilla cry but it's okay, Godzilla is tough and all. Not even the entire Japanese army, air force, and navy working together can get Godzilla down, not really.

When this post is about 1 hour old, at 7 PM MST, the waves of a #monsterdon will wash over the fediverse. Monsterdon waves are generated by undersea earthquakes, so they can be very large! Luckily most Fediverse software has seawalls that allow you to block hashtags, so do that if you prefer not to be inundated. or Or OR *let* the waves in, *follow* the hashtag, and watch along!
Tonight, we are watching a movie simply titled "Godzilla." So, I think it's fair to assume that this is the only Godzilla move that exists. I guess we will find out what a "Godzilla" is, and all I can really guess from the trailer is that it must have escaped from Jurassic Park. From the trailer, it also appears that the movie is filmed by Hank Azaria, however, how we can see him filming it while he films it is not clear. Maybe we'll find out, or maybe this is just some of that "Movie Magic" they speak of.
Also whoever cut the trailer is fond of dick jokes apparently, so there's that.
