De #MeshCore repeater moet nog opgehangen worden. Daar maken we maar meteen even tijd voor, zodat we des te eerder een beter en groter bereik krijgen hier in de regio. Ben erg benieuwd of we daardoor ook meteen meer clients zien.

Voor eenieder die graag #naaktfotos ziet... Dit is de Heltec-unit die ik gebruik. Normaal zit er een extra frontje op met daarop een zonnepaneel.

Hij draait als een zogeheten repeater in het #MeshCore netwerk om berichten te verspreiden tussen gebruikers die (net) niet dicht genoeg bij elkaar wonen. Een decentraal netwerk zonder internet. In dit geval dus ook zonder vaste stroomaansluiting, zodat hij ook bij #noodsituatie of #stroomuitval blijft werken.

There’s #Meshtastic, and #Reticulum, and #Meshcore… all making bold claims that their system is superior. You know what? All 3 kind of suck. If you’d all put your heads together instead of swining your limp dicks at each other, then maybe there can be a product that will gain enough adoption to be actually useful outside of the little nerdiverse you’ve created.

If it’s tech I’m probably interested in it, but specifically I am messing with #meshcore these days and trying to self-host a #discord alternative. I love #linux and #unix and nerd out over the history of both.
