Liberal white America has perfected the art of emotional manipulation ― making Black people believe that votes, yard signs, and slogans equal solidarity.
They Don’t.
+ Solidarity is showing up when it’s messy.
+ Solidarity is demanding justice when it’s unpopular.
+ Solidarity is protecting Black life even when it risks white comfort.
When it comes to racism, liberal white people and conservative white people are on the same team.
One just smiles while stabbing you in the back.
The other does it with a snarl.
