In 2016, they turned HRC's hacked/ leaked emails into dozens of vaguely damning stories down the stretch. Here they report Trump was hacked but don't reveal anything they received from the leakers. They say the hackers offered more but in this case it doesn't seem like they're interested in breaking any news from an illicit source.

Meanwhile, the press is hectoring #KamalaHarris over her "price controls."
WaPo's run one opinion piece about tariffs in the last six months. It was headlined, "How #Trump taught #Biden to love tariffs."
They've run a grand total of one opinion piece this year about the central policy proposal of his campaign, rounding up and deporting 15 million people.
Nine years ago, Hillary said around half of Trump's supporters were bigots of various stripes and despite that being a generous estimate, the right hasn't stopped whining about it since--and they convinced the press that it was a consequential slur.

I've read several pieces this AM about Trump's mutual masturbation session with Elon and I couldn't help but notice that after running thousands of stories about Biden's apparent cognitive issues, reporters don't seem to think it's even worth mentioning that 78-year-old Trump could not make words with his mouth and slurred his way through the whole two hours.
So, having given vent to my political id lately, why quit?
I have many contrary thoughts.
(I have no Indigenous blood, yet the concept of certain difficult people being valued as ‘Contraries’ has long resonated with me; I read of it ages ago in relation to a then-extant plains/southwest people; I feel one of them.)

Seriously, the NYT has to be intentionally trolling us at this point.
Imagine being a reporter at the “paper of record” and writing with a straight face that a “large swath of the public” gave a flying fuck through a rolling donut about Obama’s tan suit. And then quoting Lou Dobbs.
This piece says that Alison Esposito has made a name for herself in conservative media by talking about law and order and the "border crisis."
Not mentioned is that NYC paid out $120K to settle lawsuits against her for abuse when she was a cop, including assaulting and handcuffing an infant and falsely arresting some church ladies for shopping while black.
