Now that #Mastodon supports quotes, there are three important points to know with #Fedilab
- You can change the default privacy for quoting your messages in Settings>Profile (default anyone can quote you)
- You can customize this privacy for each message (when composing)
- If you don't see the merged Boost/Quote button, make sure that you didn't disable it in Settings > Timelines

This specific new feature in Mastodon 4.5 - reply fetching - makes a huge difference in small communities.
When you open the detail view of a message, it triggers a task to pull in all replies it can from remote servers, and displays them after a few seconds.
Looking forward to third party apps integrating this a bit more naturally without having to refresh the detail view.
My test instance has been updated to the just released 4.5 Mastodon, along with the 2.5 release of the TangerineUI theme.
The changelog for this one is a full on novel. Kudos to every single contributor and the mastodon team as a whole for their work. And @nileane for TangerineUI :)
