Seriously people, if you're going to put work into making your blog look beautiful you HAVE GOT to see what it looks like with large minimum font size (not zoom). At my default 20pt minimum font size this blog gives me roughly 4 words per line.
I'm not going to read the damn article like this, no matter how good the words are. Yes, I can switch to "Reader View" but I shouldn't have to.
Question for #Blind and maybe also #LowVision folks: are there any #VideoGames or #mobile #games that are particularly good? Is there a blind game design scene?
I know there are tactile dice and things for some tabletop RPGs and things. While I’m especially curious about digital or video games, I’d also love to hear about more analog examples that are great!

Friends, asking for accounts on Mastodon or organizations that are about low vision resources. I am losing my sight (not from macular degeneration) and want to connect with others like me. It's pretty devastating for someone who's been an artist and photographer all my life, but accessibillity options are greatly improving. Currently using Zoom, Magnify and VoiceOver on the iphone. I made some readability updates to my site today after hearing that one of my posts was hard to read.
The changes are meant to make the site more low-vision friendly:
larger article/list text
darker body text
less reliance on italic text for longer notes
cleaner post previews on category pages
I’m totally blind, so I can test structure, keyboard access, screen reader behavior, headings, and content flow, but I can’t personally judge visual readability.
If you use magnification, low-vision settings, high contrast, dark mode, reader mode, or have visual fatigue/migraine/contrast sensitivity, I’d appreciate feedback.
Does anything still feel too small, too light, too crowded, or visually tiring?
