Today I published my latest book, "Black Seeds: Wild Anarchy Growing in the Wasteland". It has three sections: "On Nothing", which discusses nihilism, 'A Queer Apocalypse in the Wasteland" which discusses anarchist, queer, trans and sex issues in the context of patriarchy and capitalism, and "alchemical anarchy" which is my version of what we need to do to survive. Its not a short book but you only have to read the bits that you like.

The Trump administration hasn't targeted businesses that sponsor Pride events (yet), but that hasn't stopped some from pulling their funding. Several celebrations are down hundreds of thousands of dollars this year as a result of reduced or withdrawn donations. Some smaller, rural Pride events are down between 70 and 90 percent in sponsorship dollars compared to an average year. “We will remember who stood by us and who didn’t," Suzanne Ford, executive director of San Francisco said of disappearing sponsors. "When it was politically popular, they were lined up.”

There were never strawberries
like the ones we had
that sultry afternoon
sitting on the step
of the open french window
facing each other
your knees held in mine
the blue plates in our laps
the strawberries glistening
in the hot sunlight
we dipped them in sugar
looking at each other
not hurrying the feast
for one to come
the empty plates

laid on the stone together
with the two forks crossed
and I bent towards you
sweet in that air
in my arms
abandoned like a child
from your eager mouth
the taste of strawberries
in my memory
lean back again
let me love you

let the sun beat
on our forgetfulness
one hour of all
the heat intense
and summer lightning
on the Kilpatrick hills

if guid times greet us, or we hae tae face the worst,
ahint and afore whit will happen tae us:
blind in the present, eyes open to the furore,
unkempt or perjink, suddenly puir or poorly,
peely-wally or in fine fettle, beld or frosty,
calm as a ghoul or in a feery-farry,
in dork December or in springy spring weather,
doon by the Barrows, or on the Champs-Élysées,
at midnight, first licht, whether the mune
be roond or crescent, and yer o' soond mind
or absent, I'll tak your trusty haun
and lead you over the haw – hame, ma darlin.
