Ohhh, I didn’t realise automatically indenting my HTML would mess with <pre/> elements. I guess I should write a script to find and remove them, or just… not add them inside <pre/> in the first place.

Ugh, okay, first we build old Make. Surely Make from 2006 will do…?
> Makefile:1441: *** mixed implicit and normal rules: Stop
Oh, okay. Welp. Make from 2002 will do…?

God dang it, haha, of course I can’t build 2002 Make. Surely GCC 4.9 will work…?

I am actually kind of amazed it was so easy for me to build gmake 3.80 from 2002 for arm64.
All I needed was to use an old Linaro toolchain, copy over some files, and…
$ cd make-3.80/$ cp /usr/share/autoconf/build-aux/config.{guess,sub} config/$ ./configure --host=aarch64-linux-gnu$ make
Sugoi~!
Like, narratively, what am I supposed to take from this? That someone avoidant and self-destructive is doomed, they can’t be redeemed? It was for nothing, whatever?
I could understand if they went something like: Even if he was doomed the whole time, the kindness shown to him was worthwhile; or, someone can’t be saved if they don’t want to save themself. The latter was implied, but not really leaned into in any satisfying or emotionally resonant way, just… implied. Pomni didn’t really even get any payoff or come-uppance for her “I can fix him” savior schtick…
Art is best when you learn something intangible about being human, and TADC had all of the elements to do that. It’s a literal “circus,” the perfect analog to being human and being with others in this big wide world! But… I don’t get the feeling they landed it.
Still, I liked it! Good episode, good ending! Not perfect, not masterful, not as good as it could’ve been… but good enough! The Jax psyche flashback parts really were phenominal, too (even if, again, there wasn’t payoff)!

Servo could do a big funny by wiring Tcl into every part of the engine and exposing that as an addon interface. #lang_en

are there some insulting names I can call someone that aren't misogynistic, don't sound funny and aren't misgendering when directed to a woman? the nastier the better. #lang_en
Tricky. They call this question tricky. To quote this very dictionary:
If a piece of work or problem is tricky, it is difficult to deal with and needs careful attention or skill.
In what way is telling a cricket apart from a piranha tricky…?
there's simply too much software development of all types going on, and it needs to stop. #lang_en
