While checking out alternative Cloud storage, I was recommended RSync. Looks fantastic! Many inaccessible elements though such as unlabeled edit fields, very very very basic things. I have #NextCloud and #Koofr but I am looking to get rid of those in favor of just 1 massive cloud storage. Any suggestions?

I also stopped half way through the account creation process and I didn't know they still made your account. They are emailing me at least once a month to tell me there is something wrong with the billing on my account. *sigh*

Was wondering for 2 days why I couldn't edit text files on my mounted Koofr drive with RClone, I could open the file just fine, but when I pressed, Control S, it kept opening the, save as, dialog box, then I remembered the "rclone mount --vfs-cache-mode writes" command. #RClone #Koofr

While I was moving everything out of OneDrive to Nextcloud and Koofr, Microsoft decided to vibe code an update again that instantly deleted my ".kdbx" file and my Romance novel drafts that contained sex scenes because something something virus. But hey, vibe coding is awesome, am I right? I of course had backups on external drives but just *sigh* I will be so glad when these RClone commands can proceed without Microsoft vibe coding an update, deleting all my shit as I am actively trying to get away from them. #OneDrive #Koofr #NextCloud #RClone

I am in the process of moving stuff over to #Koofr and I keep noticing that OneDrive/Microsoft is just deleting my files just because they look fishy to whatever LLM is scanning my account. Sometimes they send me an email about how this file is a virus and is breaking TOS but it's a Godsdamn text file with code snippets in it. I *know* Microsoft is using LLMs to read these files and they run into code and throw up, VIRUS. This shit didn't start happening until after the LLM boom. I have no proof they are using LLMs but I assume everyone in tech is too lazy to do anything by themselves anymore. but it is pissing me off when I am actively trying to switch cloud storages. #OneDrive #Microsoft #MicroSlop

😭 tried #Koofr and even though I like a lot of the features, the accessibility of the web interface is utterly terrible. Modals never gain focus, I must hunt for the Modal that just opened and They’re just a ton of unlabeled buttons every where and this is a lot more pronounced on mobile devices. I do 99.9% of my cloud things via #RClone but I just tried to register for a plan on a mobile device and I could not achieve this because the modal was completely invisible to the screen reader. Ugh, back to Dropbox and OneDrive I guess unless you have some fantastic #NextCloud hosts I can look into? It baffles me every time why data hoarding corporations actually try to get this right even cynically, and others just don’t. #Accessibility #A11y
