Every weekend I look back at the preceding week in Kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen KiiiKiii -- Pop Off Pop Off.
This might not be music for the ages, but it is mostly fun for its just under two and a half minutes of duration; I love the build up to the chorus, but what comes just after the chorus not so much...
Although I often post stages or performance videos for #KpopOfTheWeek, I've chosen the MV this week for a pair of reasons. In the first place, I loved all the Apple oojamacallits in the first half of the video, and then delighted in all those Sicilian locations in the following section. Then, watching a live stage, I found myself thinking that the song really needs the visual support; it comes across to me as somewhat insubstantial otherwise.
