been a while, but just wanted to share one of my inktober artworks!

Somehow, using old micron-pens and fineliners feel so much easier than brand new ones that incredibly smooth and flowy. The old ones tend to leave distinct dried marks and lets you build textures gradually..

I love buying new art supplies but my appreciation for my existing old dried ones have gone up over the days I have been using them for inktober this year

Inktober 2026 : Smack (gifle/bisous): le genre de mot anglais qui ne précise jamais vraiment s’il faut tendre la joue… ou la protéger.

An ink drawing. What at first appears to be a 1950s sci fi robot walks across a barren apocalyptic wasteland. The head of the robot is actually a fish tank where a goldfish attends to levers and gauges.

A high contrast cartoon in the cosy kawaii style of an isometric basement with a pentagram, magic circle, and sigils painted on the floor. An innocent looking cartoon cat raises its paws in a summoning gesture. A tentacle headed monster with three eyes is emerging from a swirling black void portal in one wall.

This Inktober I've set myself a challenge: depict each word of the Inktober Challenge inside separate 2-inch squares, using nothing but the letters of that word.

I can offer no explanation for this self-imposed madness other than I've noticed I work better inside constraints than when faced with infinite possibilities.

Last year I made it to day 20, let's see how 2026 goes!
