New #blog post! Talking about my balcony garden and journaling about this year's newest addition, a little Venus flytrap

*Sigh* I just don't even know what to say these days. This is how tired I am. Absolutely zero energy to reply.
> Hey Robert, have you considered syndicating to Substack? They have this amazing app, and since your website doesn't have an app, but Boomer technology like RSS, that means I have to open up another app to access you. That doesn't make sense to me. I like having everything inside one app. The internet’s full of Nazis so you can't escape them forever, so I don't know why this is a moral thing for you. I’d happily pay for a Substack subscription. Besides, the difference of your website throws me off. Makes it difficult trusting what website I visit because your blog looks nothing like Substack. and you'd have so many more readers and even money coming in! You always talk about how poor you are and if people are giving you money, I don't understand why you care you’re writing alongside Nazis. Your books are on Amazon and Nazis publish on Amazon so how is this different? Can't you just take Substack’s money?

Pushed to prod the inaugural blog post of No Mad Gardens. Fittingly, it’s on running because while running is when most of my writing ideas are first teased into existence.
Called “Why Run”, I’d say it’s more akin to beat poetry stream of consciousness than a legitimate blog post, and I’m okay with that. Worst case, it’s word vomit, best case it’s a writing exercise.
For anyone that has the time or inclination to take a look, I appreciate you in advance and hope you enjoy 😉
Going to be redoing my website this week. I'd ideally like something lightweight and rock-solid that mostly works with static content, but I would like to have the option to add very limited eCommerce, comment form and contact form options at a later stage. WordPress seems vastly overkill for this, while I was mildly underwhelmed by #ghost last time I tried, partially due to the #accessibility of the backoffice lagging behind where I'd like it to be.
What would be good for this, something based on #astro perhaps? Eleventy? Roll my own? #webdev #indieWeb

Hola. Soy J.R. Cruciani.

New at my blog, a review of JANGAR!: Slaves of the Mind Mage, the first in a series of monthly Sword & Sorcery novelettes by Logan D. Whitney.
Familiar ingredients, but served up with gusto; JANGAR is an S&S snack!

Thinking about every dehumanization of bloggers I’ve seen growing up. To me, it seemed like pop culture hated, and I mean hated, bloggers. I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s. Now however, I get more information, better sourced news, vastly deeper personal perspectives, and even stark educational material through people running blogs on their own websites but when I was growing up, you weren’t a real writer if you had your own blog and website. You were the laughing stock of the Internet if you had your own blog and your own website. Imagine if we encouraged blogging and website ownership decades ago. To put things into perspective, the dehumanization of bloggers and website owners is almost the same as the pop culture dislike of podcasts today. #IndieWeb
