#Duterte rode to power in the #Philippines with a "get tough" attitude on #drugs

What followed was degradation of #humanRights, institutional norms, and rule of law. Mass killings of "drug users" (read: anyone poor a cop could shoot on sketchy happenstance "evidence" to look like they were doing something)

Beyond my joy for #Filipinos with his arrest, I hope it's a harbinger for #Trump. If not an #ICC warrant, at least that "strong men" get comeuppance
