The image contains text that may be considered sensitive or inappropriate.

The image displays three identical guitar picks arranged horizontally. Each pick is a light brown color with a smooth, rounded edge. Below the picks, there is a text that reads 'NUDE PICKS' in bold, capitalized letters. The background is plain white, and there are no other discernible elements or details in the image.

I first played a Gibson J-45 over a year ago on a visit to the guitar shop with my kid. I was instantly haunted (posessed?) by the quality and the sound. Since then, I couldn't get it out of my head. I told the sales guy today that I either needed to buy it, or have him perform an exorcism.

I also told him that I was pretty fond of my demons, so he'd better take my card.

It's astonishing how much difference it makes to play a quality instrument!

Can anyone recommend good alternatives to YouTube? I'm creating guitar tutorials and I'm considering uploading my videos on other platforms as well. I heard about Peertube so far.

Ripley’s interested in the freshly strung guitar. It’s been in hiding for months because a) it needed to be re-strung and b) the cats were way too interested in it. Only one of those things has changed. 🤪 #CatsOfMastodon #RipleyAndJonesy #JustRipley #Caturday #guitar

Chowder was an honest audience. If I was playing well, he was right there. If I was too loud or sucking at it, he would quietly find another place to hang out. I miss that dog so much.

My happy place off the computer is with my #guitar (mostly, I use a mixer jacked into my laptop and backing tracks + recording).

I probably look at pictures of guitars and my guitar too much. My girlfriend is my phone lock screen picture, I'm not an animal!

Christoff facing the camera with a closed mouth smile, right hand signing "I love you" while the other is holding the neck of the guitar while in a sitting position. A microphone is off to the side, with a bookcase with closed glass doors behind him. Room is dim with purposeful lighting.

@autistics
.
yesterday was a rough day, the black dog was humping my leg all day
.
and it was weird that I managed to pick up the guitar and make some improvements to a few of those Dummies tunes at all but weirdly strange what is wrong about them too from being at my limit, mostly a bizarre rhythm, at once fast in spots and slow in others, keeping a sort of a steady long term rhythm while never being right in any given instant

Building a custom guitar

I’m a month late on May's post. Given the subject of the post, it was always destine to be late. As alluded to in my last post; "New muses", I’ve started a guitar build. In this post I talk about the path of ignorance that led me here and how that’s never something I finish on time.

That’s more NT psychology, B.
.
Autistics, especially aspie pricks like me don’t “put ourselves down,” we are realistic about our challenges.
.
When I tell you about my challenges around music, that’s not my bad attitude holding me back - that’s more We are All
the Same nonsense that NT people are so sure of - as if everyone is a musician! - that’s me boasting to you about what I can do despite my challenges.
.
When I tell you I’m playing a slide song but I can’t play slide, that’s me bragging about how I’ve figured a way to do it despite my challenges - FFS, can’t you see my hands and haven’t I told you the left one is asleep most of rhe time? It’s a real disability, not some bad attitude so you can make it my own fault and easily solved.
.
Bah, never mind. You know better, of course.
.
Frustrating. 😠
