Everything is wrong about this - Hope Not Hate should not be in a position where events are cancelled because shops, theatres, and other venues promoting their campaign and book are receiving death or bomb threats. Why are the police not investigating this? Why are the police not protecting the venues? Why isn’t the ‘human right lawyer’ PM, Starmer, making a fuss in House of Commons and calling this out?
I don’t expect a word of concern from the likes of the Tories or Reform UK - they are probably delighted about this. Nothing from LibDems or Green Party either…
Is it only Free Speech when people who platform Freeze Peach do it?

The #Trump admin is trying to deport *another* student, 21-yr-old #YunseoChung, a legal permanent resident, under the statute authorizing Secy of State #MarcoRubio to remove people deemed threat. She's lived here since childhood.

Chung wasn’t a leader or heavily involved in the protest movement, she only attended a few.

The Supreme Court has ruled that First Amendment rights are not limited to citizens, but to everyone in the U.S.

It has yet to rule whether the vague language in the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act covering deportation for creating “serious adverse foreign policy consequences” takes precedence over #freespeech rights.

#TakeItDown Act has passed the #House 409-2 giving #Trump & the #FTC power to #censor the #internet.

The bill seems good at first glance. It requires online platforms to remove nonconsensual intimate imagery aka“revenge porn.”

However, it will also enable the FTC to demand #content be removed from websites.

🚨In fact, Trump said he will use the bill ON HIS OWN BEHALF, presumably to remove criticism of him from the web.
