Just wanted to run a quick experiment over the #fediverse :
I have this #Metal instrumental of mine laying around, recorded exclusively with #foss , btw.
However, having myself a total lack of voice talent, I would love to hear someone recording their vocals over it instead and see the results, just for fun!

#FediAlgo (the customizable timeline algorithm / filtering system for your Mastodon feed) v1.2.2 is deployed now. Has a switch that makes sure any #hashtags / users / etc. that you follow are displayed as filter options even if they don't meet the minimum number of recent toots threshold.

Remember when #Firefox used to come with an integrated video calling service called Firefox Hello? 
Now they’re offering their users #Amazon giftcards in exchange for taking a survey over #Zoom. 
So you run non-free software in order to connect to an unethical service so you can go shopping at an unethical company. To be fair though, they also promote the alternative option of sending you money directly via an unethical payment processor. What can I say? Thanks for improving Firefox.

Dear #FOSS devs and projects building self-hostable applications;
I'm begging you. Please don't make me overthink a ten page compose.yml just to demo your software. Anything that's related to its hosting environment and required to start the container should be in the yaml. Everything else should be in an admin console in the application.
At the very least, make sure you document the OPTIONAL configuration values so that we don't have to learn through trial and error. 💛
