This is something the Fediverse needs to understand if they want to get folk away from big tech or help bring folks over here to the social web.</p><p>Discourse is modern forum infrastructure that I really wish would takeoff more. I can follow communities via RSS, but I can’t post or comment without an account.</p><p>ActivityPub is great for being open and more social. Don’t forget about forums though!</p><p>Where do you find your forums that are not reddit communities?</p>

<p>This instance is *not shutting down* and I am not planning on moving because I like this instance’s character count but can others recommend,</p><p>1. Blind focused Fediverse instances with similar lengthy character counts and that's well maintained, well moderated, and not shutting down soon? Also updated to the latest Mastodon version. This instance is *not shutting down.* I've seen others recommend general instances to newbies that will shut down this year.</p><p>2. <p>Hello to the fediverse ! <br>If you are admin of a Mastodon instance, you should check if IP from the bloc 43.160.0.0/12 (precisely IPs in the ranges 43.172.194 to 198 and 43.173.173 to 194) <br>are asking for A LOT of pages and consuming a lot of CPU / Bandwidth.<br>It's a malicious bot that harvest the fediverse by tags, feel free to bloc it ;) </p><p><a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> <a href="/tags/bots/" rel="tag">#Bots</a> <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a></p>
<p>In addition to platforms like Mastodon & PeerTube, we are exploring whether we can also use an <a href="/tags/opensource/" rel="tag">#OpenSource</a> platform for newsletters. </p><p>We are looking for something privacy-friendly, self-hostable and sustainable over the long term. Right now, Keila and Listmonk are on our list.</p><p>Have you used (either of) them or other alternatives? We'd love to hear about your experience: what worked well, what didn't and which one you'd recommend? <p>This is slop, slopware, but there are no active forks of Pinafore and even though the original interface has improved greatly using keyboard navigation, I don’t think there will be anything like the clean and elegant and very accessible Pinafore I still have no clue if this maintains the accessibility of its predecessor but it appears to be an active fork of Enafore.
