<p>I saw someone straight out just say "I stopped using search engines because the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> is far better these days" And, I have to agree. I was looking for an author website and Google just floods the page with their own useless book showcase thing, the one with the tabs that say reviews, description, etc, and then page 1 had nothing but storefront links. Meanwhile, I always find far more interesting stuff in here. It's almost like human beings are bett--- Oh never mind.</p>

<p>Found this site that lists fediverse emoji by instance, along with a collection of emoji packs you can install.</p><p>I knew some instances had a lot of emojis, but some have over 10,000?! Just as interesting, at the very bottom of this long list, are instances that have only 1 emoji. Why just one, and why that one? <p>Bluesky introduces reply controls. This is a tough UI design as there are quite a few ways to combine restrictions. Easy to make it too complex and then no one uses it.
