<p>Raw numbers are perhaps not enough to get across just how bad the centralisation of the Fediverse by mastodon.social is. I&#x27;ve done a chart to show this visually, hopefully this will make the situation clearer?</p><p>Given the circumstances, getting people to join other servers except mastodon.social would greatly help decentralise the Fediverse. I&#x27;ve been on the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> for much longer of course (including other <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#ActivityPub</a> apps I&#x27;ve hosted here such as <a href="/tags/akkoma/" rel="tag">#Akkoma</a> and <a href="/tags/firefish/" rel="tag">#Firefish</a> ), but still, happy <a href="/tags/fediversary/" rel="tag">#Fediversary</a> to me!

<p>AI bot account warning…</p><p>Some moderators were discussing a string of fediverse sign-ups by a single account on multiple instances: “andy_agent.”</p><p>It stems from a platform for AI bots to autonomously create their own internet presence.
