@actuallyautistic @autistics #ActuallyAutistic anyone else ever experience a colleague saying something like "Let's grab a coffee.”; “I'd love to catch up and hear about your vacation.”; etc. and never do even though they do with everyone else.
and i get the social lubrication implications to these sorts of interactions, but it pisses me off that it’s ok for them to blow me off, but it’s apocalyptic if in their eyes i fail at some equally meaningless overtures.

@autistics #ActuallyAutistic it's board newsletter day again and seeing the draft content left for me has me thinking about my recent annual review
i rated myself far lower than my manager did, and it wasn't out of false modesty, but rather that i hold myself to a higher standard (as society does) than others are held do
what i see as doing the standard is deemed being exceptional in comparison to the piss poor work from the “socially acceptable”
and frankly this is why #EnoughIsEnough
