Hey, speaking of rich people and complicit corporate media, did you know two of the three richest men on Earth (Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos) and the family that own's Trader Joes, are currently trying to get American courts to declare the core functions of the National Labor Relations Act unconstitutional, and the mainstream media is literally barely reporting it?
Although this story seems complex, the essential point here is that these rich maggots who have both a vested interest in stopping unions, and own companies with a documented history of unionbusting, want to stop the board that rules on NLRA cases, from hearing cases in their administrative courts. This matters because these courts allow in particular, workers who've been fired for organizing unions by big corporations like Amazon, Tesla, and Trader Joe's to quickly get a ruling that stops those companies from union busting by simply axing the organizers. The rich guys, using essentially the same arguments that were refuted by SCOTUS almost 90 years ago, would prefer those cases be heard in federal court, because it would *guarantee* "that by the time they reach the bench, those organizing campaigns will have become a dim memory." Furthermore, it's entirely possible that the richest folks in the oligarch class won't stop there, and might even ask a very anti-union SCOTUS to literally toss the NLRA altogether, leaving workers entirely exposed to whatever predations these rich maggots want to enact upon them.
In other words, and to quote the author of this article:
"in a time of stratospheric economic inequality and overwhelming public support for unions, they want the courts to strike down workers’ right to collective bargaining? One of the fundamental landmarks of the New Deal? Shall we negate all of America’s mid-20th-century social progress? All of Roosevelt’s legacy? How about we revisit World War II and surrender to the Nazis and Japan?"
Naturally, you would assume this might be bigger news than it has been. But the truth is, corporate media in America has a vested class interest in keeping this one on the downlow because they too are owned by rich (mostly) American oligarchs; in the case of a paper like the Washington post, their boss, Jeff Bezos, is literally one of the oligarchs bringing the case before the courts through his EvilCorpTM, the American multinational corporation and technology company Amazon. When the same guys busting the unions, own the papers, it's clearly possible to gut the right to collectively bargain with barely a whisper leaking out into the mainstream discourse. In the immortal words of Frank Zappa, "they just takes care of number one, an' number one ain't you; you ain't even number two..."

Elon Musk wanted Texas legislators to create new crimes so people who fly drones or interfere with operations at SpaceX can be arrested. And he wanted to change who controlled the highway and public beach near SpaceX’s site so he can launch his rockets according to his timeline.
He got them all.

Were are living in a world where numbers in a data center push inequality to levels never seen before. There are guys on this planet who get richer by a million every day without even paying attention while others starve to death. Such a world is not fit to tackle the existential problems it faces.

Are Elon Musk’s toxic antics alienating Tesla’s key buyers? While Tesla is arguably still the go-to electric vehicle brand worldwide, in California, the largest car market in the U.S., registration of Tesla vehicles has reportedly dropped by a massive 24 percent between April and June — the third straight quarter that sales have fallen in the state. I've read several pieces this AM about Trump's mutual masturbation session with Elon and I couldn't help but notice that after running thousands of stories about Biden's apparent cognitive issues, reporters don't seem to think it's even worth mentioning that 78-year-old Trump could not make words with his mouth and slurred his way through the whole two hours.

Mastodon, honestly, haven't changed much since I joined. It has its own community, and I do realize now that it's impossible for Mastodon to become a Twitter-like community and post Twitter-like posts.
I know, most of you will say: "Of course, because Twitter sucks and you better not post anything like you would on X!", yet my point is, is that Mastodon's posts will never become like posts from other popular platforms.
Mastodon community has nothing to fear for. They don't have to fear that Mastodon is going to die, or that Mastodon will no longer be Mastodon.
Mastodon, to me, feels more like old Facebook + old Twitter combination. Yeah, the old ones that I knew.
Imagine if all your friends were sharing their honest thoughts, sharing their pictures. That's literally my feed on here.
I can't say that Mastodon is a bad place to exist, because I don't think it is. But honestly, Mastodon *fails* as a Twitter alternative, because........it's not meant to be an alternative to Twitter.
Yes, I know what you will say. But, still, Mastodon is better to be recommended as a somewhat alternative to Facebook, rather then as alternative to Twitter.
I just feel like as if Facebook users had moved to Mastodon, you know? That type of vibe Mastodon gives me, when I scroll my feed on here.
It's no wonder Bluesky is becoming the number #1 best alternative to Twitter, *because it was created with mind to be an alternative to Twitter*. No wonder people are saying that Bluesky LOOKS and FEELS like twitter.
See? See where am I going with that?
But Mastodon? But what about Mastodon?
Mastodon = is an old, good Facebook that Facebook used to be. Mastodon doesn't gives me vibes or a feel that I use Twitter......unless I use former Twitter app that is now remade to be for Mastodon (like @MonaApp / @ivory ) app. Yes, using an app like that does gives me Twitter vibes - just sharing that personally at least what I feel like.
BUT, even then, Mastodon still feels like Facebook. I'm sorry, but that's the way things are. At least on my side and the feed that I have.
Mastodon has its own ecosystem. Mastodon has its own world.
And that world is DIFFERENT then old Twitter's or Bluesky's.
Bluesky did managed to recreate Twitter's world perfectly which I miss.
Congrats to Bluesky and I'm sorry for your loss, Mastodon - for loss in being a good competetitor to Twitter. There are still small chances for Mastodon to win, though, BUT ONLY if people are going to use Mastodon through apps for Mastodon that will give them old Twitter vibes. For Apple users, I think it's Mona and Ivory. Just because these apps used to be Twitter apps before.
Mastodon has else issues though, I must say. It's about blocking domains/defederating from some Fediverse instances.
You see, I've been watching for an year and a half and still, how do people on here are abusing defederation. A good example of it is mastodon.art .
I've also seen other people promoting to block that or that Mastodon server/Mastodon user, just because they don't agree with what that user/Mastodon server's community says/its opinions.
Honestly, personally, I dislike such approach. If you want to defederate, just defederate from a user/Mastodon server that is a spam, or a scam, or violates any normal human being's rules taht are accepted widely and globally everywhere. But don't abuse that tool, please!
As for now, I am mainly active on Bluesky - https://expertplus.creator.blue , if anyone wants to follow meover there or as @expertplus.creator.blue (make sure to follow @bsky.brid.gy so that you and I would be to interact with each other), because that's where most of my Twitter followings are, and that's where I have a good amount of audience (252 followers), although I must say, on Mastodon I have the best engagement, while on Bluesky, uh, I mainly have zero engagement, feels like nobody sees my posts when I post there.
I'm not leaving Mastodon, of course no, but I've sen some people I know, who were wondering about me being inactive on Mastodon, so that's why did I wrote this whole thing.
If you've made it this far to the end of my post, thank you for reading it and have a good day :-)
P.S. I daily check my Mastodon notifications, so, don't worry, I am still active on here, although I post rarely on here now. But feel free to reach out to me :-)
