On this day in 1942, Anne Frank received her first diary for her 13th birthday. On the cover page, she wrote: 'I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support." When she went into hiding during the Holocaust, her diary was one of the first items she packed.

I think this fear of links is the worst thing to happen to the internet. Tech literacy is still an all time low, even in people younger than me. Tech literacy should be a mandatory requirement in all schools, and yes, I mean learn stuff like, what a link is. how to read a link. What HTTPS means. How email works under the hood. I don't mean code or programming.

Hey all, I am looking for part-time work in English either remote or on-site (only if within Odense Kommune, Denmark). I am a Mathematics Bachelor and I would love to be able to use my degree ethically. I know Python decently well, I've touched a bit of Rust and Coq, and am willing to learn other programming languages. Last year, I finished high school amid war, displacement, famine, and bombardment. During a ceasefire, my school held in-person exams to ensure fair results. I contracted Hepatitis A during the exam period, yet still graduated with 98%, ranking among the highest-performing students across Palestinian Al-Azhar Institutes and earning the highest Physics mark in Gaza that year.
