He went out with me and did his #1 right away after I came home from work. After supper, when he usually does #2, I tried to make him do it before forecast heavy rain starts. But...he wasn't interested and wanted to come back in. We will try again after the rain lets up.
It's super humid . While I was with him in the yard, mosquitos ate me alive...Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer here in GA...But school is out, no more school buses for a while!!!

We were adventuring earlier than usual today.
Everyone was awake so we launched into the foggy drizzle with a skip in our step.
I thought we might have the trail to ourselves but we encountered a federal wildlife employee who wanted to verify that Summer was truly under voice control. If I had seen him first she would have been on leash. She didn't even give him a bark and when I asked her to sit she sat right on my feet and stayed until I gave her the ok to get up. Inspection passed we carried on our way. Summer was a really good girl. I think he was concerned that she might run in front of his truck on the narrow trail.
We hurried along and finished our walk in record time.
Well record time for us.

Today, I lost another friend. I found my dog Harrison had died in his sleep overnight. A little over twelve years old, he was a very active bigger, younger brother to my other dog, Harvey. A year and half ago, he became lame and incontinent because of a nerve problem. I tended to him and changed his diapers several times each day. I saw he was sad, though, and growing weaker. Last night he let go. He was a good boy to my wife and I and a good older sibling to our kids.

it happened to my veterinary clinic. has it happened at yours? big vet corp (not a music subgenre) is buying up local vets & jacking up the prices, increasing the debt burden on already-struggling people who love their companions.
