I regularly toot photos of the flowers Summer and I encounter on our dune walks. I describe the flowers but almost never know their names. We hadn't been introduced.
This morning my daughter and I are taking a class at College of the Redwoods focused on learning the plants native to our coastal dunes.
I told Summer how exciting it will be when I know which plants we aren't stepping on when we walk.
She is not impressed.
Especially when I told her that she has to stay home, because they don't allow dogs in the class.
She doesn't understand.
She will take care of her pal while I'm gone.
I will make it up to her.

I was late for an early morning appointment in town today.
It was Summer's fault.
She is so darned cute.
Her pal was supposed to be taking his blood pressure when Summer sauntered over to his chair with a ball.
Both of them shifted away from what should be happening and dragged me with them.
The playing began.
The blood pressure readings and my appointment was set aside as I took some blurry photos.
At least everyone had a grin on their chin.
Recliner games start out our day, again.

Saw ~ 3 sec of news last night, first time in ~ month, and, holy hannah. My American friends who actively voted against the orange regime, so much empathy.

May I offer as a soul cleanser two border collies?

The dynamics of these dogs is amazing. She is older and the definite leader and is laser-focused on the toy; he is 20 lbs heavier and remains laser focused on her. Wave the toy around, she will follow it, he will remain focused on her. :)

See the pouch hung from the back of the chair? It had hooks for keychains on it and I had to give up and cut them off because Odin kept getting his tail caught in them and then swinging the whole chair around like a flail. #dog #dogs #dogsofmastodon
