As much as I hate being old, I am so grateful that my personal time-stream lined up with Tom Baker's, and that I got to watch him in Doctor Who on Saturday nights in the 1970s.
Yes, today I can stream the same episodes, mega-restored in ultra-high-def whatever, but I'd much rather be watching at my Nan's house, sitting impatiently through the Grandstand teleprinter and Basil Brush's interminable jokes...

Viewing figures are down, the critics have panned the last series, audiences are moving onto fast paced new American shows “in color” – It’s the same pattern all Doctor Who fans come to recognise repeated over many years.

OMG am tuning into BBC1 and am catching the end of a new #DoctorWho episode, and it’s a not so subtle episode about NOT becoming a genocider to stop a #genocide.
