Time for my #DesertBus #CraftAlong post!

This painting depicts Frieren's place in a cycle of transgenerational kindness. The quotes that surround the party, drawn from the anime's dub, represent themes of companionship, the cycle of kindness, and heroism not in great acts but small deeds.

This piece will be raffled/auctioned for charity. Tune into @desertbus, 23 to 30 October 2026, for a chance to own it!

A photograph of a framed painting. It depicts Frieren holding a book and looking fondly over to Fern, who has fallen asleep on her shoulder. Stark is leaning forward and looking ahead. The lighting implies a campfire in front of them. Above them, a pale blue spirit of Himmel watches over them, smiling. In the dark sky around them, various quotations from different characters throughout the series surround them, calligraphed in Foundational script in colours representing the character who said each one. It is framed with a dark blue mat and a wooden frame decorated with engraved vines and leaves. The quotes read: 1. Heiter: "Because that is what Himmel the Hero would have done." 2. Fern: "Because that is what Mistress Frieren would do." 3. Frieren: "Himmel is the reason I decided I'd get to know people at all." 4. Himmel: "Deeds like these will not change lives, let alone the world. But people need help and I cannot turn my back on those right in front of me." 5. Fern: "When my parents passed, I never imagined I would experience peace like this again." 6. Flamme: "Someday down the line, you'll wish you had gotten to know the people around you." 7. Himmel: "I would take the more lighthearted journey any day. One I can laugh about at the end." 8. Stark: "Your encouragement re-lit a fire in me that had been cold for a long time." 9. Eisen: "I wouldn't trade the memories of those moments with my friends for anything."
