On cobblestone street, close-up of a section of wall of a house from 1500s in Den Gamle By Old Town open-air museum, Aarhus, Denmark. Foundation is black bricks. Main section is rust-red bricks, laid in sections both vertically and horizontally, criss-crossed with dark red wooden timbers. Two small wooden shutters with tiny openings are set in between timbers at a middle point, light reflecting off them. A small arch vent is embedded in the black bricks at the bottom. It struck me that the effect is accidentally a bit like a face - the two shutter eyes above timbers that run down like a nose to the open arch like a mouth. Like a 'scared, nervous face' emoji.
