So I am seriously considering moving to #FreeBSD16 and away from #Debian

Not because I don't like #Debian, because I do. #Debian13 is a great release, and so have the last 10+ years of releases been (mostly) great.

I'm conscious I have limited requirements, use #XFCE as my desktop, plus a few common apps that are all in FreeBSD or available via ports.

The only niggle is around #Docker and #KVM, which I do use both of today, although for the latter I can just go with #qemu and #virtmanager

#Docker is a bit more of a challenge as I understand it.

Before I start any bare-metal testing, I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions on what I could or should do around #Docker when using a #BSD

I'm considering switching to Debian instead of Windows 11. Anyone here got any advice about that?

- ssh(1): add a warning when the connection negotiates a non-post quantum key agreement algorithm.

This warning has been added due to the risk of "store now, decrypt later" attacks. More details at https://openssh.com/pq.html

This warning may be controlled via a new WarnWeakCrypto ssh_config option, defaulting to on. This option is likely to control additional weak crypto warnings in the future.

But the legislation *as worded* *also* covers everything from #Debian and #Ubuntu through #Arch Linux and #MobaXTerm to #FreeBSD and #NetBSD and #OpenBSD; where users anonymously use package managers or ports systems to install applications, written by developers, on operating systems, from 'publicly available internet website' repositories.

There is no age field in the GECOS data in master.passwd(5) of course, and the reality is that no BSD or Linux-based operating system has this concept of apps/stores/accounts.

#Incus impressed me as a #Proxmox alternative, but #IncusOS? That’s the next evolution!

IncusOS comes with all the missing things like ARM64 (aarch64) support, boot safety, full disk encryption, immutable images (read-only and signed) and fully locked down to operate in API only mode.

For me, it’s a mix of #Talos, #Harvester and Proxmox where it merges the best features of all ones!

Also yesterday I found out that #Amazon website won't open on my laptop #Firefox running #Debian. I have to use #Amazon for both work and life. Weird thing is, it opens just fine with #LibreWolf. Tried clear cache and cookie, did not work.
