The internet of cat slop
Now that I'm looking up cat stuff, I'm running straight into a steaming pile of not merely "content" which exists mostly to waste your time but is somewhat limited by the fact that someone has to pay someone some money to write it, but "slop" which is "unwanted AI-generated content."

#PBS sued #Trump on Friday to block an #ExecutiveOrder that would cut federal #funding for public television & radio, arguing that it was #unconstitutional.
The lawsuit, filed in DC by PBS & a public TV station in #Minnesota, says that Trump’s EO violates laws that “forbid the President from serving as the arbiter of the #content of PBS’s programming, including by attempting to defund PBS.”

#TakeItDown Act has passed the #House 409-2 giving #Trump & the #FTC power to #censor the #internet.
The bill seems good at first glance. It requires online platforms to remove nonconsensual intimate imagery aka“revenge porn.”
However, it will also enable the FTC to demand #content be removed from websites.
🚨In fact, Trump said he will use the bill ON HIS OWN BEHALF, presumably to remove criticism of him from the web.
