A foggy sunrise at the Riviera Motel in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The blue pool and colorful chairs really stood out against all that gray. Usually, we would be able to see the Mackinac Bridge from here, but the fog obscured the view.

And those tiny black specks overhead? Non-biting midges — a very familiar sight in early June around Mackinaw City.

New Bay Bridge II

The new Span of the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge opened not long after Labor Day in 2013. I was down on Treasure Island not long after. I decided that this was my favorite image of the night. I was lucky as the night was relatively still and I was able to get some reflections on the water.
If you look closely behind the span is what remained at that time of the old span.

Red Wine Futures

I captured this while I was out on an early weekend drive up into Napa Valley, way earlier than any tourist would arrive. I parked my car overlooking Napa Valley coming from the north as the sun was rising in the east. With the early arrival of fall some of the leaves had already changed yellow/gold to bring a nice subtle pallet of colors to this image.

F18 Down In The Jedi Transition

Sitting out by the Crowley Point overlook just outside of Death Valley waiting for the jets to come through certainly had me excited.
These are training runs and require much patience as they do not fly on a schedule. It sure gets the blood pumping when one of these jets start making their way through Rainbow Canyon, AKA Star Wars Canyon.
