For anyone who needs some relaxing distraction this afternoon, here is a large bubble in a viscous fluid bumping into a smaller one, and forcing it to distort before it engulfs it (taken at the Catalyst science centre in Widnes). I played with this for AGES... so much fun!

“its power as a starter in crowd psychology comes from Mackay’s insistence on humanising the follies he describes. No macroeconomic constructs here – just good old greed, optimism, superstition & cunning plans”
—Charles Mackay (1814–1889) was born #OTD, 27 March – best remembered today for his 1841 book Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds

I’m reading the Bubbles discourse with extreme amusement. Everyone wants a page where smaller blogs get brought up to the top so people don’t have to see the same authors again. I never encounter those problems because the only ways I access this vibe coded directory is via the, new, page, a page sighted people haven’t found yet, apparently, and the chronological RSS feed. https://bubbles.town/new #IndieWeb #Bubbles
I’m seeing discourse about this aggregator. Others are now saying that the digest and all the popular posts are leaning way towards technology. I knew that was going to happen so that’s why I never subscribe to any of the digests. The only RSS feed I have is the one where everything gets posted to the feed. I don’t miss anything, but does anyone know of a similar service that was not made with an LLM? RSS Feeds — Bubbles https://bubbles.town/rss #Bubbles #IndieWeb
