Normally I'd give you a quote from the book. But this is one of the chapter headers from soon-to-be-published Her Borrowed Grave . As I'm a forensic scientist, I'm running the forensic lab reports from the police investigation as chapter headers.

Briefing Details:
Army informed the police that the protective cage under Toft’s Tower on the city walls was
broken into. The padlock opened. A section of stone was reported to be loose.

Examination notes:
On removing the section of stone, which had Roman graffiti carved into it, we found 2 rusted
swords, a rusted conical helmet, several piles of rust and a lot of dust. The dust in the alcove
showed signs of being stirred up. See attached photos. Indicating that some items might have
been removed from the hidden alcove. The impressions were not amenable to being cast.
Photographs show a stirred area and a circle with a pile of dust in the centre. We are unable to
identify anything that might have been removed.
