Rated Dolly Parton Songteller: My Life in Lyrics 8/10

<div>You're not going to get a deeply personal memoir from Dolly, but that's ok. She knows what she's about, and like she says, it all goes into her music anyway. This is still an interesting look at decades of songs — maybe not EVERY song, but LOTS of them, and I learned a lot. I listened to this via Audible streaming, so it's in her own words (with some transitions by Robert K. Oermann), and there are snippets of some of the songs. Worth a listen if Audible throws you a free month.</div>

<div>I don't know that I loved EVERY story, but the first one, "Dark Watchers of California" by Riley Silverman was definitely great, and I enjoyed the premise of "When I Say Run..." by Ben Tedds a lot. All had their moments for sure.</div>
