Rated Doctor Who: Scales of Injustice: The Monster Collection Edition by Russell, Gary (2014) Paperback 8/10
A pretty solid Doctor Who book. It's a bit more violent, probably because it's a UNIT story, but we also get to know more about Liz, since her story never got a proper resolution on the show. I read this to my almost-10-yr-old son (skipping over the more gory details, as well as the 70s-patronizing comments about women in miniskirts), and we liked it a lot.

I dig these. They're more like short story audio-collections in that there is more narration than most of the Big Finish. Some stories are better than others, but overall this is a good set.

<div>You're not going to get a deeply personal memoir from Dolly, but that's ok. She knows what she's about, and like she says, it all goes into her music anyway. This is still an interesting look at decades of songs — maybe not EVERY song, but LOTS of them, and I learned a lot. I listened to this via Audible streaming, so it's in her own words (with some transitions by Robert K. Oermann), and there are snippets of some of the songs. Worth a listen if Audible throws you a free month.</div>
