These are fun fast reads, almost like an old style cozy mystery, except set on a generational space ship. There's not much 'space' to it though, but the mystery is fun and I like the main character.
If the universe as a fair place you'd live long enough to finish your reading list 😜😂

I've been struggling to keep up with reading people's blogs, so I've been missing out on most of her latest posts. But, she informed me that she made the dream a reality! She was publishing her story!

I haven't read the book yet, but I will try to get a copy somehow... It's published in the USA, and with all the tariffs... 🤔 But she mentioned an eReader version, so that may be the easiest way to get it for me. It is on Amazon, which isn't everyone's cup-of-tea... But still, it could be worth to check it out!
I always enjoyed her blogs about the journey she made after losing it all. So that's why I wanted to share this here with you.
Her book is just a little drop in an ocean of self-published books, so every bit of promotion could help her.

Quite good and follows up on [b:The Only Good Indians|52180399|The Only Good Indians (The Only Good Indians, #1)|Stephen Graham Jones|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1601545259l/52180399._SY75_.jpg|71431671] but doesn't quite seem like a *direct* sequel, I'd recommend reading that one first but you'll figure it out if you don't. Had a bit of a jarring change part way through it and lots of bad things happen to the characters, satisfying resolution.

In The Defense, Nabokov’s language is, as always, rich, sharp, and full of vivid imagery and wordplay.
The characters, however, feel strangely soulless and do not inspire sympathy. It even seems that the author treats them with a kind of superiority bordering on contempt.

I would like to give this a 4.5 star rating. Lots of stuff I didn't know about Afghanistan and their culture(s), well written but also a lot of stuff I had to suspend disbelief for and some cliche/melodrama plotting. Still, it was hard to put it down.
