This took me the whole year to read but that's a reflection of how much time I could find rather than the quality of the book. The writing is sometimes a bit arch and po-faced (but I've been on a Joe Abercrombie kick so everything is by comparison), but it's great. Full of intrigue, queers, and dragons, wyrms, and wyverns. What's not to like?

Rated Bi: The Hidden Culture, History, and Science of Bisexuality 6/10

It was... ok. I don't read a lot about sexuality & gender, so found much of the book interesting, at times illuminating, and in parts very relevant and relatable. However, I was disappointed by the author's volte-face on her assertion at the outset that it wasn't going to be about the salacious lives of highly sexualised stereotypes when a gleeful chapter about exactly that turned up towards the end.
