I picked out the best most sweetest watermelon at the grocery store this morning. I have been keeping it cold in the refrigerator for just the right moment.
It was feeling like the heat of the day so I cut up half the watermelon for us to snack on and took the other super cold half next door to our neighbors.
Even though she is going through chemo she was excited about eating some cold hydrating watermelon. That made Summer and I both happy campers.
Since we were going next door anyway we picked a bouquet of flowers to take along.
We took pictures of the dahlias before we cut them so we could share with our Mastodon friends too.
It makes us feel good when we feel like we are doing good.

I finished writing and addressing 350 post cards to be mailed tomorrow. I will make the deadline. Whew.
My daughter offered congratulations in the form of some photos of the flowers from her garden.
She gives away tons of bouquets.
It must be someone's lucky day.
I learned a lesson about how much time these postcard mailings take. I might do 100 at a time the next go around. My writing hand will recover soon I hope.

Our magnolia tree out back is starting to bloom. When we first moved here, we thought it was the non-blooming type. After a few years we took down a couple hackberry trees (they're known to hollow out in the middle), which gave the magnolia a lot more sun. A year or so later it started to bloom! #BloomScrolling #SilentSunday
