Chipper

I really think that chipmunks are fantastic little animals. I'm not sure why, maybe because of how cute they are.
I like the background in this image. I chose a wide aperture for this image to blur the background that happened to be a large redwood. I just thought that the contrast between big and small was fitting for this.

Yerba Buena Lighthouse

The Yerba Buena Lighthouse was built and completed in 1875. The light sits on the south end of the Island and warns boats and ships away from the rocky island on foggy days and nights.
The light is still in operation today although automated now. The keepers house now is kept by a Coast Guard Admiral.
The light tower is short when compared to others at only 25 ft. tall.

Jacuzzi Winery

Yes, the same family that gave you the modern hot tub.
They built an airplane they called the J7."J" for Jacuzzi and 7 for the number of seats in the airplane.
Anyways, to make a long story short. They eventually ended up grape farming in Berkeley California and eventually made their way to Sonoma County.

Filoli

The Filoli house is located Woodside about a half hour south of San Francisco. The home was built between 1915 and 1917 by the Born Family.
Filoli is an acronym for William Bourn's saying of Fight for a just cause, Love your fellow man, Live a good life.
The home currently sits on a 16 acre formal garden within a 654 acre estate.

Fishing Boats at Fisherman's Wharf

The colorful boats are part of the fleet of boats that bring fresh seafood to San Francisco's world renowned Fisherman's Wharf.
If you go behind the restaurants and walk along the bay you will see these boats docked. That is as long as they are not out fishing. To me this is a much more interesting sight than the tourist shops selling trinkets.

Also known as the Sentinel Building is a triangular shaped building that sits at the intersections of Columbus Ave and Kearny Street in San Francisco. Jackson Street completes the triangle.
This building is also right in the middle of three popular districts in San Francisco, the Financial District, North Beach, and China Town all come together down here at the Columbus Tower.

San Diego Panoramic

Embarcadero Street

San Francisco is such a lively and vibrant city. The waterfront of San Francisco Bay highlights this in so many ways. From Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 all the way down to ATT park where the San Francisco Giants have won three World Series in the last few years.
This area here is in an area known as South of Market and it has seen fantastic renewal over the last 15-20 years.

Port Side Of The Pt Reyes

The Pt Reyes has been one of my favorite photographic subjects ever since I came across her on the shore of Tomales Bay many years ago. When I first shot her I didn't really know the significance of the boat and why she was there.
To this day I don't really know much about her. What I do know is that over the last 5-7 years I have watched her slowly deteriorate.
