Attended a community screening with open #AudioDescription and guess what? Sighted people loved it, but best of all, we didn't have to use apps for AD, we didn't have to fiddle with special equipment for us, everyone got the same experience. The movie also had captions for the #Deaf too and, gasp, my Deaf friends and I could actually enjoy something together for free! Revolutionary! This took place in a #Library and it was amazing

My sighted friends are listening to movies and TV shows on their jogs and stuff with audio description enabled. They're also wondering why more open audio described screenings don't exist more. I also never noticed how helpful audio description was to sighted NT friends on the spectrum, either!

And this podcast has public domain audio described films and TV shows, and is still ongoing!.

This was the best stream ever talking about adding #AudioDescription to video games. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2881244646 #Twitch #Gaming #Games #Gaming #Game #GameDev
Trying Dynasty the CW / Netflix remake and i’m absolutely hooked! I am utterly enthralled with rich snobs backstabbing and fucking each other over. The audio description isn’t pointing out any of the characters races, so I was a little confused a lot throughout a few parts. There’s a part where the butler and a guy are stuck in a cellar and the butler says, take a gun and shoot the lock off the door, and the guy replies, don’t stereotype me! I can infer at least one of them is a person of color, but this is where a case where the objective audio description fails to guide me along with the drama / story. I am having the absolute time of my life though. #TV #TVShow #Netflix #AudioDescription
It's been a while (years even) since I updated the old website. Here's a hugely expanded curated list of useful resources and links for #AudioDescription for #museums and #art. First updated page, more to come (probably slowly).

This documentary about #AI has #AudioDescription so be sure to change audio tracks. Wish YouTube would default to AD the way Netflix does but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLQzVLtvdv8 #PBS #YouTube #LLM #Tech #Technology
My good friend Jennissary is streaming Marvel's Wolverine! Jennissary was the producer and one of three script writers for the audio description for the game! Come in and ask her all your questions :)

The problem with being a volunteer, unpaid, indie audio describer is that your enthusiasm often outstrips the time you have, and you wind up doing dumb things.
Like starting another script.
