There are 355 different versions for cities and towns across the country; each is a roundup of links to stories from legitimate local sources. It's all created by one man, Matthew Henderson, and his AI tools. While he claims he's helping struggling local outlets, their teams say he's not — they're not getting traffic from the newsletters and Henderson's business practices are questionable. “From fabricated testimonials on his websites to the absence of contact information and zero transparency about his information-gathering process including AI usage, his approach completely undermines the principles of trustworthy journalism,” says Rodney Gibbs, head of audience and product at the National Trust for Local News. Personally I've decided to move from Soundcloud to #Mirlo Space (hence the title) - here are those guys: @mirlo . I've watched them for almost a year trying to enable something different, something cooperative style for and together with musicians and not for some companies sake. Trust takes time, and I think I can trust the Mirlo gang now ;) .
You still have other options in case you wanna move away from Soundcloud – a complete other model would be i.E. self hosting your #music with something as cool as #faircamp . Just don't stumble into the fangs of the next musicians spirits sucking company, doing this not for your benefit but for their shareholders. That won't go well. Never unfortunately.

Last weekend, Elon Musk shared some images on his X platform that he claimed had been created by the Grok AI system. They were actually just edits of original work by Australian artist Charles Brooks, a former concert cellist who is known for photographing the insides of instruments. An X user named Eric Jiang had run some of these through Grok, adding people to the original photos so they look like buildings. Musk retweeted the post with the comment "Generate images with @Grok." @404mediaco's Matthew Gault spoke with Brooks. “I feel like, if he’s plugging his own AI software, he has a duty of care to make sure that what he’s posting is actually attributed correctly and is properly his,” he said. “But ‘duty of care’ and Musk are not words that seem to go together well recently.”

It makes me sad that there are so many AI videos and audios of Ozzy Osbourne out there now. I don't care if he said the same things in an interview - creating and sharing artificial AI audio or video after someone's death just feels plain disrespectful unless they gave permission while alive. The worst part is you can't always tell the AI-generated ones from the real videos... that's where we're at now with the world.
