I'm finally done with my art backlog!

This is my OC, Raajimera, who is also the protagonist of my novel. This is not her normal outfit, but I wanted to draw her in a glittery gold dress and check if it fits.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to properly depict the sky snake, but it was even easier to paint than it was to draw digitally.

BTW, I will put a video showing the glitter on her dress under this post.

"A wealthy family enjoy coffee beside a fountain. The mother offers a spoon from her cup to her little daughter. The father sits beside them holding the tray while their servant pours coffee from the pot into his cup. The painting is more likely to be a genre scene than a portrait of a particular family as none of the figures shows any awareness of the viewer, as would be usual in a portrait. The painting used to be known as ‘La Tasse de Chocolat’ (‘The Cup of Chocolate’) until it was noticed that the pot is one generally used for serving coffee.

A new abstract. The first one I did that really got me excited about working on abstracts, though I struggled so much with getting the colors just right.

This is so much smaller than how I envision the piece in my head, but was good to figure out what worked and what didn’t. Going to work on a much larger version next.

The painting is divided into three gradient panels in a light warm beige neutral on the left, a darker blueish grey neutral in the center, and even darker warmer grey on the right. On the top & bottom are unfinished borders resembling caution tape. There is a compass circle and lines intersecting the 2nd & third panel and a fine black line that bisects the three panels at the bottom. Over it all are a lot colorful triangle shapes like flying birds and butterflies and fine swooshy black lines showing their trail. Their movement is chaotic.
