<p>Hey politicians, instead of age gating the internet and fucking up all our privacy, can you do something useful such as ban all promotional use within push notifications? I don&#x27;t even want push notifications telling me about a new feature within the app, that&#x27;s what release notes are for. I just got a Hoopla push notification that was telling me they have a lot of titles I can watch, but it was in the style of a generic promotional ad. Just no. I am guessing Android users have to put up with this bullshit too? Same with Netflix. I don&#x27;t want a push notification telling me I haven&#x27;t watched in a while. Fuck off. And fuck you if you are a developer and you do this.
