Percentage of population absolutely certain God exists. Comparing USA to Europe. Most of Europe is in yellow, indicating a 10-29% certainty, A few places like Portugal and Poland are up into the 30-49% band. In the US most of it is in the purple 50-69% range with the bible belt, unsurprisingly, registering blue, 70-82%. Interesting that 82% is the highest ratio, and 10% is the lowest in either category.

Updating my manuscripts and Git workflow by writing actual lengthy notes and or commit messages to myself instead of generic 'updated chapter here' or, 'updated posts' and I can't express how much a "game changer" this has been for my memory! I stopped trying to remember stuff and now just write overly detailed notes to myself. It makes me look like I have short term memory loss, but I was able to pick something back up, months and or years later, and understand what the heck I was doing. Same for fiction writing too! Novel writing too! #Disability #AmWriting

Can someone make a better Leanpub, but more for serious indie authors? And less AI Bullshit? And yes, I know all the AI stuff is opt in, but there's so many fucking add ons, every single one of them is an AI thing, it's like that's their business model. Here's a publisher I'd love, like, my LeanPub wish list.

* Keep the serial publishing model and have readers pay to read and support the book in installments. Keep the Dropbox/Git way of updating, keep the API,

* Offer human editing services, like, pay for human editors specializing in your genre, as an add on.

* Offer like a publisher service, where they bring on a publishing professional that will submit finished books to all the storefronts but LeanPub and you keep the royalties and, IDK, this new Leanpub could have someone on staff that uploads the completed, opt in, book to all distributors if you want this turn key service but it's not required.

I was hoping @nantucketlit might know of something better? Because the below looks so attractive to me and I've used them before but just... All their opt in AI add ons bug the piss out of me.

The Tanuki

this is my first self-published short novel, written from the perspective of an urban kid living in Atlanta circa 2014, whose life changes forever after meeting the owner of an import store. it’s a loose spiritual successor to the movie Pom Poko, inspired by I-novels, video games, hip-hop, and my observations growing up in Atlanta.

I've got some great news to share today: "(Not) A Hero Story," the comedic fantasy LitRPG I've been working on for the past couple of years, is now available to read for free online. Join Marty and the gang on their misadventures at https://notaherostory.com! 🥳

The first four chapters are available now, but I'll be releasing a new chapter every month until next September, so stay tuned to see what happens next. (Don't worry: every chapter is a self-contained story, so there aren't many cliffhangers.)

I'm glad to finally share this story with other people! I said I've been working on this project for the past couple of years, but, really, it has been in the works for over a decade at this point. It's a labor of love and I'm really proud of what it has become.
