Last week I read an ARC that — well, to say it wasn’t ready for prime time is a huge understatement. It was sad, because the story had so much potential, but the ARC, which is supposed to be basically publication ready, looked more like a messy draft. So here’s my promise: I will never, ever do that to my readers.

This is the kind of review I imagine every fiction writer loves. When I saw it yesterday, I cried. This was from an advance reader for DROWNING IN DECEPTION, which comes out on December 1. It's thoughtful, well considered, and shows the reviewer read in depth and was touched. What more could a novelist want?

This is not the most delightful dessert picture ever. . . but I made this pie a few years ago, for a Thanksgiving we celebrated with friends in Panama. If you've ever tried to make pastry in 90-degree heat, you'll know why it's less than beautiful. 😉
