Friday started at stupid o’clock, a quick cup of tea then down to the gym!

I was going to go shopping today but it seems that Friday being the day I get the car is subject to availability, Mrs S decided that she was off to her mums. What can one do.

The scaffolders arrived around lunchtime & we are now back to something approaching normal.

We started a Babylon % fest this evening, with the ‘The Gathering’ the feature length pilot.

It went rather nicely with the peri peri chicken tonight!

Final Thoughts.

A good day, mostly. I miss having my own car.

Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 899 , Tuesday 14/04/2026

Tuesday started at around 07:15 after a rough night, whatever I did to my leg last week it wasn’t improved by yesterday’s romp.

Breakfast was followed by the usual chores then, just for a change, the radiator valve in the lounge decided to sick open. Foolishly I tried to fix it while it was still hot … the upshot was painful.
Having let the thing cool down I subdued it & lubed it up like a … well I’ll leave that to your imagination dear reader. All working & tickety boo now!

Spent the afternoon playing Elite - I had forgotten just how involved one can get in that game, also how easily it is to get the ass shot out of one’s ship if one isn’t careful!

I’ve been travelling to an ‘Engineer’ a specialist to tune my engines. Having crossed a decent amount of space I’m now in the right system, all I need now is to wangle an invitation to their hideout!

Final Thoughts.

Well I’m hoping that I’ll be ok on Friday for my first gym session!

It’s amazing to me that with Elite, I’m playing a game that I started playing at age 16 & 40 odd years later I’m playing it again … ok it has gone thru many iterations since then but very few games have been around this long!

My sib would do something hyperactive, break something and Dad would start in on them for it, and they would start to say, "I didn't think (something)," and Dad would cut them off with, "That's right, you DON'T think (like, period)," and it's still rather shit of Dad, but boy oh boy, don't I, maybe don't we, think that about people sometimes, don't you people ever stop and think, LOL.

Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 917 , Saturday 02/05/2026

Saturday was supposed to start quite late but, as is the way of these things, in fact started around the normal time of around 07:15

Made breakfast for the 2 of us & then did my chores.

Then spent about an hour & a half tidying up the worst of the mess that the builders left. I was going to brutally jetwash the whole thing but there is a promise of rain tonight so I will see what effect that has first.

Managed to squeeze in an hour on the PS5 before Mrs S got back with the shopping.

We spent the afternoon catching up with a couple of her shows & then watched an episode of ‘Sherlock’ while we tucked into a chinese takeaway.

Final Thoughts.

I wish I had some help with these big jobs, far more would get done in a single sitting.

I’m struggling to people at the moment, the gym was very busy this morning & it kinda used up all my peopling spoons.
